what support is there

The National Minimum Wage for an apprentice aged under 19 is £3.70 per hour, if you are aged over 19 this is £3.70 for the first year of employment, then after 12 months your salary migrates to the National Minimum Wage for your age.

Apprentices supported by the WCAA will also receive an additional trade voucher of up to £250 to help them purchase tools and equipment for their training through Travis Perkins. Employers receive a financial grant of £500 paid in two instalments throughout your apprenticeship.
